Hey !gnusocial I don't see the link to the group if I add a parenthesis before, e.g. (!gnusocial). Is it a bug or a feature?
-
Sorry !gnusocial this is a test.

@echosa The big difference between !GNUsocial and #GooglePlus is that the entire corpus of GNUsocial is available through standard protocols. I can't even view GooglePlus in my feed reader, never mind adding a message from a 3rd party client.

Following my argument at !fediverse. I really think that the logic of not inviting "voices" we dont no agree, and in general being against Twitter users to join !gnusocial its one that only makes GNU Social less important for the world. I would love a node where ex silly twitter users can exchange and interact with each other using free software. I want them here, i probabilly won't…

@mmn @smj @cmhobbs @tuxxus !gnusocial I will say this, though. If we pick a day to advertise and inform people about Social, we need a catchy name for the hashtag. (Let's be honest, there has to be a hashtag. People love hashtags.)
I nominate #FreedomFriday

@tuxxus Here's my biggest issue with recruiting people to !gnusocial from, say, Twitter. When I browse Social, I see things I like: a lot of tech discussion, etc. I don't see a lot of general discussion that would be of any interest to most people I know. The content just isn't there for most people, so they see little reason to switch. It's almost like Google+ all over again. A few p…

Oh right, btw !GNUsocial. Noone using old versions can now unsubscribe to anyone using new versions (so the remote party understands it). A discussion on IRC made us realise you could do a replay attack on certain salmon slaps, including the "unfollow" verb. So I fixed the bug. (the issue was that there was no designated target for the unfollow in the slap that was sen…

@hannes2peer you are al-right!
@tuxxus That timeline shows the posts/notices published form the blogs connected to our !gnusocial node using WP-GNU social !wpgnusocial It's possible to comment them directly form our node and we want it to be the main timeline of our GNU social node. Of course, other timeline are also available on their specific urls. This new timeline is generated by the plugin #Hedero

@tuxxus @smj !fediverse i haven't been back to any of the old places since i announced i'd be leaving for the new federated !sdf ... things here have evolved quite a bit since then vis a vis participation, diversity, activity, and quality of notice content; i wonder what the best way is to actually get people to listen and give !gnusocial a proper once-over. this article http://st…

!gnusocial I think there should be a plugin that adds a route for webfinger and just generates the host-meta and XRDs from the database on the fly. Is there one? If not I will be writing one. This cronjob script I wrote a huge kludge. I feel like this is maybe a solved problem for the bigger instances? How is this really done?

heh, now i kinda wanna draft an rfc for ethernet over !gnusocial

Alright. I think I've got my #IndieAuth 'provider' setup and working. Logged in to #gnusocial and #mediagoblin via OpenID through it.
-
@drymera proprietary web service that turns rss into twitter/facebook posts. I want to mirror my !gnusocial feed to #twitter and I tried but it kind of sucks
-
!gnusocial, best social
-
what #quitter instances have the #twitter bridge? !gnusocial? I'm trying out #twitterfeed and it adds my username in all the posts and it seems a little redundant

@aroque /cc !gnusocial

How do I add an attachment via !gnusocial API?

For some reason quitter.is seems to have a problem with fediverse.org server, connection times out no matter how long the config is set. Is the only !gnusocial node I have trouble checking its status (via cURL). I don't have the same problem reaching outside that server. If the !fediverse knows the admin, please let him know I would like to get in touch. Thanks!

!gnusocial + Markdown
would be great! (I guess)

Don't know if its an error or voluntary but the node http://lamatriz.org/ is redirecting to https://lamatriz.org/hedero/posts Looks like an error since it is/was a well known public node. Does anybody knows the admin so I can verify this? !gnusocial !fediverse
