   I don't know whether they were wealthy or not, nor whether all of the relevant pollies and issue advocates were wealthy, but California and local government together regulated and priced my mom's business out of existence.
   
   She still hopes to reopen, but none of her kids or grandkids have the time, even if she had the money.

    @simsa03 This is sad to see. I'm in favor of government funds being used to support software that puts local needs before corporate / developer needs, so this is interesting. Are other regional Linux distributions also dying out?
