   $EMPLOYER had these tiny Panasonic "Toughbook" mini-laptops. They seemed to be rugged, but the people who were issued these machines started travelling with monitors and keyboards and eventuallythey went back to agency-standard equipment.
   
   Note that even the standard is now smaller, lighter, and more prone to overheating (and SSD failures!) than previous laptops.

   Well on an instance admin level, you're making choices and depriving the users / members of that ability. I agree it can be justified in some cases (for instance illegal content or instance-wide spam, gore, untagged NSFW), but as a whole, users should have blocking tools and be encouraged to use the tools themselves.

    I was recently reading that CPUC (the public utilities commission) had rejected Cal-ISO pleas to allow more generating capacity. Possibly another case where “true believers” prevent people from preparing for situations that will surely come.
