   A few days old, but this is a map of the Bobcat fire ???? in the San Gabriel Mountains N of the SGV. Note that the smoke I saw when I visited Saturday was mostly from the El Dorado fire ???? in the San Bernardino mountains above Yucaipa, probably 60 miles E from there.

   Oh, that's rough. I saw an article recently that said that #France has had a surge of #COVID-19 cases recently, too. I guess there is no chance that they'll ease the restrictions quickly.
   
   One of my brothers works (worked?) for a company that provides services to hotels. Since the on-site convention business is almost gone, the hotels have no customers, so his $EMPLOYER has been shut down since March.

    All of our Western measures of time are based on earth’s orbit and rotation. I imagine that will eventually have to change as we colonize other planets and then sent exploration crews to other star systems, seeking to expand beyond the solar system.

    Adding a #Mattermost messaging system was near the top of the list, but https://docs.mattermost.com/install/requirements.html#server-software convinces me that their documentation will be useless if or when I encounter any issue.
