Still reading the voter information pamphlet and filling out my ballot. Sending political comments to #sonTwo, because we can talk about such things without getting angry. ( #sonOne immediately wants to argue if one believes even the slightest bit differently than he does; #Daddy_A gets silent and stops talking to you ... sometimes for months ... when such topics come up. )

@musicman @geniusmusing I'll be turning that plug-in off later today. Hopefully, the plug-in version when 2.0 is released will be fixed. https://nu.federati.net/attachment/277040

I did take a #COBOL class in the #1980s, but I don't believe that would qualify me for anything.

This was once on my list of things to explore, but it got pushed down by all the things that are being added to the list. I should float #UnQLite up near the top, maybe run comparisons with #SQLite. https://www.unqlite.org/

Taking that trip to #MO seems to have helped. #GS3 is interacting with me more when we #videochat. Next up is to try to set up multi-way chats, so that the grandkids can know each other better.

I don't know where I saw the link, but https://www.jackery.com/products/explorer-160-portable-power-station [www jackery com] and https://www.jackery.com/products/solarsaga-60w-solar-panel [www jackery com] look like products that I'd be interested in using.

There are varying time estimates for post-infection immunity, ranging from under three months to almost a year. They haven't had a year to test yet, so no one knows for sure how long any vaccine would protect against #COVID-19 infections, nor even whether it would offer make infections less severe after it stopped providing complete protection.
It is just too early to know.

@mangeurdenuage I used to read "true crime" books. Then one time, I read one about a serial killer and that freaked me out for days.
It was a permanent cure. Now, I'm even careful about reading fictional mysteries or watching movies.

@mangeurdenuage Yikes. #sonTwo saw that movie when he was pretty young. (As usual, I was at work.) I think he's still afraid of clowns.

http://status.hackerposse.com/url/22625 Appears that the proof of infringing intent was just unit tests meant to ensure that ytdl works. It might be possible for a quality legal team to sue #RIAA and win a declaration of non-infringement. That said, I've not heard of any foundations stepping up and offering legal assistance, so it probably isn't going to happen. Warning, though…

I like to visit the Census Bureau and see what their latest findings are. I probably visit once per month.

#BackdropCMS seems more complex and more complicated than #BoltCMS. I might have to explore Bolt soon.
-
#BackdropCMS seems to have been forked from #Drupal. Drupal is naturally complicated, since it is really a set of frameworks and tools for building your own CMS. So it is understandable if a derivative still retains some complexity. #BoltCMS seems to have descended from now abandoned blogging tool #PivotX ( http://status.hackerposse.com/url/22623 ), which itself descended from…

Governor Newsom is going to dance with joy when I file this year's state income tax. It would be zero, but the state of #California enacted an individual mandate effective for 2020 after the federal mandate went away.

@mangeurdenuage The one flaw, IMO, is the #RIAA's claim that circumventing copyright enforcement mechanisms is youtube-dl's primary purpose. Most users that I come across aren't trying to amass a music collection without paying, they are trying to view videos without the JavaScript, ads, and annoyances that YouTube puts in the way.
-
@mangeurdenuage Yrs, I agree. Operating as a #Tor onion site would likely be safe. Same for a garlic ( #I2P ) site.

@mangeurdenuage Check your XMPP.

No, #Firefox, I do not want to enable #DOH through #CloudFlare. That's why I intentionally disabled it when an update enabled it. Stop asking me after updates whether I'd like to turn it on.
Eventually I will set up my own DOH ( DNS over HTTP ) server, but until that time, I don't want it enabled.

On letting algorithms decide what one sees and can find How do you choose whose interests the algorithm serves? Sites like Facebook and Twitter can get more ad revenue if you spend more time on-site arguing with your political opposites, so their algorithms seem to increase the amount of "those other guys" that you see. How do you opt in to algorithmic manipulation when you wan…
