      The Linux Foundation support, which ends in April, provides Stenn with $7,000 a month to cover all the expenses of maintaining NTP, renting the data center space, and running the infrastructure required for support. Not much left for food, shelter and clothing.

      The #NTP article does seems like a copycat of the !GnuPG article. But more people contributing code doesn't improve Harlan Stenn's financial position. More people contributing code doesn't pay for servers and colocation sites and network bandwidth and travel costs.
