   Have been battling with Matrix, but so far no useful results, and limited to non-ARM architectures. Apparently the xmpp bridge doesn't really work, although the irc one does.

   @kat yes. I think that this is mainly because the rich control the media, with Radio4 being one example of that. When the broadcast media is mainly produced by people from gated communities who have no concept of what it's like to be poor then ignorant attitudes will go unchallenged, or be dismissed as "unrealistic" or "conspiracy theories".

   Nice to see @aral in the fediverse. I've mentioned it before at meetups in Manchester, but it would be good if FSF or other similar organisations ran a campaign to get more folks from the open source world actually using open source communication systems, rather than Slack, G+, Facebook, Google Hangouts (or whatever it's now called), etc.
