jcsesecuneta (jcsesecuneta)'s status on Tuesday, 19-Jun-2012 08:03:55 EDT jcsesecuneta It’s on my plate, hehe. My problem right now is funding and management time. There are at least 2 plans I currently have for attempting to push SN again locally. Another blocker is @parlementum‘s incorporation method, I haven’t studied it much but I’m more inclined to do it that way (then another springs up – who are willing to sign the Articles of Incorporation and stay all the way?) -
jcsesecuneta (jcsesecuneta)'s status on Tuesday, 19-Jun-2012 07:54:43 EDT jcsesecuneta Yep. The good ol’ days. And now look at FB, slowly going down. Competition really is good. Choice is even better. We just need to be patient. (And we need a solid, stable, reliable #Philippines SN host/admin so we can restart the efforts :-p ) -
jcsesecuneta (jcsesecuneta)'s status on Tuesday, 19-Jun-2012 07:48:57 EDT jcsesecuneta Yeah. I don’t know what’s with everybody going to FB. But I wasn’t surprised at all, I expected as much years ago. They’ll go back to their websites sooner or later, they don’t have a choice. Most of them are bandwagon jumpers, not early adopters. -
jcsesecuneta (jcsesecuneta)'s status on Tuesday, 19-Jun-2012 07:36:16 EDT jcsesecuneta So now, instead of these networks embracing StatusNet, etc. they ended up embracing Twitter because the hosts they tried before Twitter eventually went down. The question will always be: how reliable is the service? How long will it stay? What’s the financial status of its admin(s)? -
jcsesecuneta (jcsesecuneta)'s status on Tuesday, 19-Jun-2012 07:35:03 EDT jcsesecuneta Yep, a couple actually. When the others was forgotten by their admins, a couple of new ones showed up. But eventually forgotten still. What was unfortunate was some of them got support from news networks before they jumped to Twitter. -
