One thing on my STO wish list is the ability to use unlocked special bridges on all ships, once they're unlocked. -

@takeshitakenji The monitor I'm using now is one of the first LED monitors there was. The footlighting around the edges is particularly prominent in the cold, presumably because of the increased internal impedence in the circuitry compared to warmer temperatures. -

@bes There's a public access key in the repository that allows read access. I'm not actually sure how http://status.hackerposse.com/url/9009 has it set up to allow access without it, because the standard gitlab config is to use a public access key. (If anyone knows, though feel free to let me know, because anon access is easier than a public access key.) A PuTTY … -

@bob There is a replacement OS you can put on a jailbroken iPhone, forget the name of it, but its kind of rubbish. -

@purplehippo Ironically, the CO start arc got shit when they changed it so maybe I should be careful what I wish for. But STOs is the same as it was on release and even if it was a pretty decent arc it's been the same shit for years and years now and I've done it so many times that it gets hard to want to go through just on that merit. -

I will never cease to be amazed by the lengths people go to feel smugly superior about something. -

@purplehippo I actually find the core gameplay of both CO and STO the most tenable amongst MMOs, but man, the Fed starting arc in STO is bad. -

@takeshitakenji I've read some smug, self-assured articles in my time, but that was a pretty high on the scale one. -

The first arc after the prologue/tutorial in STO is some of the most arduous starting content in a MMO. And while STO has modernized many of its arcs, its never really gone over that one in any big way. -

STO's AFK penalty is based on % of damage dealt in a STF, so what it ends up actually being is a "you're a lowbie who hates the shit low-tier content and tried to level with STFs" penalty. -

@bob I used to run hiring for two of the companies I was involved with and while I'd agree they vary there's a certain ettiquette about what is considered acceptable in hiring and what isn't. Generally speaking, it's considered poor form to waste applicant's time - you tend to get a reputation, if you do, and thus you're not going to attract top talent. Of course, that's only a concern if you want top talent. -
