@bob @mangeurdenuage I'm sceptical of it's claim of confidentiality when the system itself is based on proof of work. Either it has a means of independently verifying that and thus isn't terribly confidential, or it doesn't, and you're not really having to prove your work beyond a cursory appearance. -

@archaeme @tijagi @loki Just getting the stubs has been days of work. There's over a thousand files to be documentated and _less than maybe 50 of them_ actually were. There's a lot more that needs to be done and it's not going to happen overnight. -

The tradeoff here is that if I take something into the project, its something I have to maintain. Of course, an easy way to resolve that issue is to take on that mantle yourself, but a lot of contributors are fire-and-forget one-offs. People that own their code, so to speak, and support it, are probably never going to be rejected unless they have some really critical flaw. -

The place I'd draw the line is extraneous behaviours, or interfaces I don't think are essential or extraneous, which are more appropriate for plugins. I'd be happy to include such things in the plugin repository though. Other than that, unless the patch really breaks stuff obviously, or introduces security issues, I dont see myself rejecting it. -

@bob @moonman @takeshitakenji My general approach has been to hold changes in Nightly and let them be tested. If it ends up they screw something up, we can always revert it if it's bad enough to not be easily fixed, but the damage you do to people's willingness to contribute can be severe, if you reject them outright. The important thing here is to make it collab… -

Git seems to have lost the contrib history rebasing @bob's proposed merge into Nightly rather than Master, because of course it did. Just has the merge commit, not the commits being actually merged. -
