One thing I'm going to do with postActiv in the near future, now that we have our own gitlab, is remove the optional plugins from the /plugins/ directory, and instead make them separate repos that you can then selectively install. -

You can't run the daemons themselves manually, but you can kind of "force" things through with /scripts/handlequeued.php if you know notice_ids
That's still a very onerous way of doing things though, for obvious reasons. -

@takeshitakenji It's also because right now nothing at all is cached reliably so every single time you look at everything is a database query. Oftentimes, multiple queries. MySQL is a prime candidate for optimization. -

@gameragodzilla @katiekats That's the NATURAL way to create that sort of environment after all. But in Dishonored, you don't have anything like that, really, so instead you just get penalized for taking the most efficient way through the game. -

@takeshitakenji Renaming the file does not change the file's location in the file allocation table. Move does. Move will result in data being relocated on the disk even if it doesn't change position in the directory structure. Rename only changes the label on the file record.
