I updated the gitlab on the !postActiv gitlab instance in the process of doing this so let me know if this results in any oddness. -

Went through all the projects, all features that are enabled in postActiv projects for the main software and the plugins, should be visible at all permissions levels now. -

OK, it looks like what happens is the "public" permissions model is still defaulting most things to "only team members" -

A lot of stuff is hidden from the public in GitLab that shouldn't be, it only shows if you're logged in. This isn't the behaviour I desire so I will have to figure it out. -

Annoyingly I lost all my bookmarks since chrome doesn't like importing bookmarks from vivaldi and other chromium (presumably to annoy you into staying on chrome) -

Well old Vivaldi just updates to the latest one automatically through the installer because it's a piece of shit, so I guess I get to play "remove the telemetry from chrome" tonight.
Because I'd rather do that than ever use Firefox again. -

Every Lets Encrypt cert is also invalid, by this mechanism, btw -

"Certificate Transparency In order to provide encrypted traffic to users, a site must first apply for a certificate from a trusted Certificate Authority (CA)."
They make it so you MUST have HTTPS, then they make it so you HAVE to go to the GOOD CAs, then they profit. How is this not a fucking protection racket? -

Anyways brb upgrading Vivaldi to a previous version. Yes, that constitutes an upgrade. -

Nothing from VeriSign works, most of Comodo doesn't work either. Geotrust is 50/50
You want to know the fucking irony?
The one certificate type that works consistently?
Pre-revocation StartCOM certs.
Go
fucking
figure -

"Aren't you just creating a CA of CAs?
No. Each log is just a cryptographically verifiable record of every certificate that has been issued. The log cannot include a certificate without that certificate being visible to everyone. Thus, the rightful domain owner is in a position to take action when a certificate is misissued. "
You must think I'm functionally retarded. -

The only way around this right now is:
revert to an older chromium version,
or
add EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL AFFECTED PAGE to a whitelist,
or
hope that a server operator near you pays their extortion money to the CAs.
CAs and browser developers are both a fucking protection racket. -

Its getting to the point I just want to shove Firefox and Chromium both in the refuse bins they belong in and use motherfucking Lynx for everything or something equally ridiculous. -

The fucking certificate transparency thing protection racket Chrome/Chromium is pushing makes every fucking second site not work. It is incredibly aggrivating. -

Can someone recommend a good proxy to google? I'm fed up with DDG, it's useless. -

@themightyglider I agree. You can lose the sense of your own community when there's a lot of new people very quickly. -

I moved the plugin superclasses in !postActiv from /lib/ to /classes/plugins/ Along with better organizing things in the software, this also allows us to leverage class autoloading to grab plugin classes if they're not loaded already. They should be, but it's a safety valve. Although, this would be a case where I'd be okay with not having the classes loaded by d…
