    I was interpreting the quiet from Mastodon as not receiving messages or something given the previous spate of activity, but I should have remembered this isn't the first mass migration the fediverse has had.  Looking at the public timeline on mastodon now, most of it is the rest of the fediverse.  Seems more of them have gone quiet.

    @nerthos @takeshitakenji There are ways to design these devices to feel comfortable to use with such a small area to work with but most companies would rather just use mini versions of existing conventions because it's cheaper.

    @takeshitakenji One thing I'm going to do with postActiv's native interface when get done the render code and are making the reference UI, is make sure that you can suppress notifications for conversations you are no longer interested in.
    
    This won't be too effective with software like Mastodon that can't figure out conversation stitching, but hey, it's something.
