   @takeshitakenji I DO sandbox spammy bots from TWKN on my site though since a lot of people were complaining about them, but Markov hasn't been that spammy so I haven't had reason to sandbox it.

   @takeshitakenji I find it dishonest.  It creates an impression of Mastodon being much larger than it itself is.  It would be like me saying that Highland Arrow is huge because I have over 40k accounts in the database.  Most of them are local copies of remote accounts.

   Part of why I dislike a lot of PHP bashing is the reasons given are years-old complaints that are no longer relevant, unless you're one of those people that cling to really old versions, in which case, well, that's the future you chose.

    @hybotics  I actually went to the lengths of adding it again when Qvitter removed it, which actually wasn't that hard.  But you can't hack on mastodon like you can GNU social or its qvitter plugin.
