Mankind Divided so far has not been any different. -

It is really hard for me to play through the modern Deus Ex games. Probably harder than it is to replay Thief 4, because Thief 4 was just *bad*. There are no redeeming features in the game design and I can mostly just close my proverbial eyes and force through once you've seen the first mission or so because it starts as it means to go on. Human Revolution has … -

Honestly, I feel like Human Revolution is to me what everyone else seems to have thought Invisible War was, except instead of it being a mostly popular-opinion-filled circlejerk where people made a bunch of negative criticisms about the story and tone that betrayed the fact that they probably hadn't played it at all, I can go on for quite some length about how Human … -

I mean any game that draws comparisons to Her Story is not going to end well. -

Human Revolution is one of the few games where the dialogue has legitimately made me cringe. -

@moonman Maybe they'll properly open source it, but if they do, remind me to buy a lottery ticket. -

@purplehippo A few of them are not really nice people, but honestly, running a country isn't about being nice, its about doing what's best for the country. Whether this cabinet will end up able to do that, well, time will tell. All we can do now is speculate. -

@kitredgrave @moonman @rw Most of the accounts from fediverse people on Mastodon were mostly just all like "what is this new thing" and wondering what it was about, and when there was those couple bad days, a lot of people wanted to see if it was really that bad, or if it was just like, one or two bad people. I've had an account there for yonks to test federation t… -

@purplehippo Gonna be honest, though ... Trump is probably counting on it. He knows he's new to this political arena. He's seeking people whom are very experienced in their respective fields, to carry him. -

@purplehippo Mattis and Trump will be a very, very interesting dynamic to keep an eye on, because Mattis is not intimidated by anyone, so he won't be afraid to just tell Trump off if he feels he's doing something he thinks is unwise. -

@moonman @rw @kitredgrave To be honest, most of the wider fediverse doesn't give a fuck about Mastodon. I mean, we joke occasionally at it's expense because our primary exposure in Mastodon's creator is not very favourable, but honestly, other than those couple of days where people from Mastodon were actively antagonizing people, most people here are very live and … -

@purplehippo He cares about his soldiers and treats them like other human beings and you'd be surprised how much of a difference that makes. A lot of generals and admirals, especially those whom have never served in active combat (which is a surprising many of them worldwide), tend to treat the rank and file soldiers just as numbers on some paper. -

@purplehippo Mattis is one of the few modern examples of a military general who is actually a soldier, not just some desk jockey. He's served in a lot of fucked up conflicts and as such when he became a member of the brass he became one of the few flag officers whom the rank and file NCOs and such could actually respect. The amount of loyalty he has to this day e… -
