    @gameragodzilla WELL ITS FUNNY YOU MENTION THAT, because Deus Ex had not ONE, but TWO highly-advanced military AIs: Daedalus, and Icarus, which end up merging and becoming Helios, and you know what they don't have?  Hyper-realistic holographic projections.  Yes.

    It's also worth noting that the holograms in Invisible War, which is set in the SCI FI FUTURE at that point, are not that much more advanced than in the original Deus Ex, and yet there the prequel is, so it violates the continuity of BOTH games.

    I'm honestly willing to concede we MIGHT have holograms that realistic if we had some really significant tech breakthrough in the intervening time, but irrespective of that, it's still inconsistent with the series continuity.

    A lot of the technology in Deus Ex: Human Revolution is much better than it was in the original Deus Ex, which it is supposed to be a PREquel to.     Honestly, HR and MD make me look back more charitably on Thief 4.  It probably actually respected the source material more.  And that's not to say it really respected the source material.
