@moonman @archaeme The "bitcoin gold rush" as one article coined it was full of both opprotunists and genuine idealists who like the technology both, but the exposure it got nonetheless exacerbated a lot of problems I dont think the developers thought deeply about in inception. -

@moonman @archaeme They mostly were using it as an impetus to get people to contribute to the blockchain, not as a malicious thing, when they designed it that way, but you can bet dollars to donuts it attracted opprotunists that then tried to get more people in so that they themselves could cash out. -
