Incidentally, the classic !gnusocial interface (neo-* themes) was exactly described as "cluttered" and "busy" (as opposed to minimalist) by the friends I forced into GNU social. From their interaction with it, I can also tell it was poorly discoverable: simple tasks, like following a group or changing the avatar, were sometimes hard to accomplish. -

I have been playing around with the #rss2queet script. It can now redent feeds as multiple users (so you can grow your bots' army!). My German is too rusty to understand its license http://www.tamagothi.de/impressum/lizenz/, can anyone help me out? I wanted to know what I can (or can't) do with it.
Still, I thought following feeds should work natively with !gnusocial... /cc @mmn -

Now that the fixes of the first !hackfest have been merged into master (thanks @mmn), it's time to plan the next one! Let's gather again to get more bugs fixed! And we'll be hanging around explaining how !gnusocial works, how to !selfhost, answering #faq etc.
It looks like July 24-25 could be a good weekend for some of us (@chimo, @mmn still ok with that?). Join the hackfest and make gnusocial better! -

@simsa0 yes, private notice to single users within node (without going to user profile) is now possible and has been tested. I find it more convenient than direct messages, which require a separate inbox and going to recipient profile. What doesn't work is private notices to single users of remote nodes.
