aroque (aroque)'s status on Monday, 27-Jul-2015 16:15:41 EDT aroque I just sent a message from an account I have at framasphere.org, which I follow from !gnusocial. I can't see the message. I think it used to work back then though. -

aroque (aroque)'s status on Friday, 17-Jul-2015 17:47:00 EDT aroque Nice post: "When I log on to Facebook, my personal television starts. All I need to do is to scroll [...] I occasionally click on like or share button, read peoples’ comments or leave one, or open an article. But I remain inside Facebook, and it continues to broadcast what I might like. This is not the web I knew when I went to jail. This is not the future of the web. This future… -

aroque (aroque)'s status on Sunday, 12-Jul-2015 08:26:15 EDT aroque Anyone !selfhost/ing at #gandi? How do you deal with dynamic ip? -
aroque (aroque)'s status on Wednesday, 08-Jul-2015 09:28:52 EDT aroque Incidentally, the classic !gnusocial interface (neo-* themes) was exactly described as "cluttered" and "busy" (as opposed to minimalist) by the friends I forced into GNU social. From their interaction with it, I can also tell it was poorly discoverable: simple tasks, like following a group or changing the avatar, were sometimes hard to accomplish. -
aroque (aroque)'s status on Saturday, 04-Jul-2015 09:38:08 EDT aroque I have been playing around with the #rss2queet script. It can now redent feeds as multiple users (so you can grow your bots' army!). My German is too rusty to understand its license http://www.tamagothi.de/impressum/lizenz/, can anyone help me out? I wanted to know what I can (or can't) do with it.
Still, I thought following feeds should work natively with !gnusocial... /cc @mmn -
aroque (aroque)'s status on Thursday, 02-Jul-2015 18:06:10 EDT aroque Now that the fixes of the first !hackfest have been merged into master (thanks @mmn), it's time to plan the next one! Let's gather again to get more bugs fixed! And we'll be hanging around explaining how !gnusocial works, how to !selfhost, answering #faq etc.
It looks like July 24-25 could be a good weekend for some of us (@chimo, @mmn still ok with that?). Join the hackfest and make gnusocial better! -
aroque (aroque)'s status on Wednesday, 01-Jul-2015 16:59:05 EDT aroque So sad (to say the least) we don't get replies on !gnusocial -
aroque (aroque)'s status on Saturday, 27-Jun-2015 09:06:24 EDT aroque Right, also loadaverage has its nice (doku)wiki about !gnusocial with #faq and documentation https://wiki.loadaverage.org/gnusocial. Only the official gnu.io doesn't. -
aroque (aroque)'s status on Friday, 26-Jun-2015 11:55:43 EDT aroque What about loading feeds straight into your !gnusocial timeline? -

aroque (aroque)'s status on Saturday, 20-Jun-2015 14:19:22 EDT aroque @simsa0 yes, private notice to single users within node (without going to user profile) is now possible and has been tested. I find it more convenient than direct messages, which require a separate inbox and going to recipient profile. What doesn't work is private notices to single users of remote nodes. I tried it, but the message is not delivered (or doesn't show up, I don't kno… -

aroque (aroque)'s status on Saturday, 13-Jun-2015 16:12:40 EDT aroque Here is a brief and hopefully not too technical summary of what got fixed during the first !gnusocial !hackfest https://git.gnu.io/aroque/gnu-social/wikis/GnuSocialHackfest2015. I hope I didn't miss anything, if so I'll amend. All these changes are still in the nightly branch, and some still have to be merged, so please be patient!
