@simsa0 yes, private notice to single users within node (without going to user profile) is now possible and has been tested. I find it more convenient than direct messages, which require a separate inbox and going to recipient profile.

What doesn't work is private notices to single users of remote nodes. I tried it, but the message is not delivered (or doesn't show up, I don't know). Why should !gnusocial treat groups/users differently? I don't know but I want to fix that.
