   I picked up and old project from 2013. A gnusocial compatible server written in python. Its very basic right now, remote subscribe sorta works.

   Regarding ipv6, the biggest hurdle right now is the municipal networks here in sweden. They don't support ipv6 and don't plan to do for atleast 2 years. I offer tunnels as a workaround but that demands more of their already crappy routers and many don't bother.

    So spotify is moving to google servers and just recently launched video. My guess is that google will acquire spotify soonish.

    Any gardening interested folk out here? I am thinking about constructing a seed box (heh!) with climate control. An insulated box with a peltier element to manage the temperature and leds for lighting.
    
    The problem with room temperature is that it is mostly too hot for sallads and for some seeds you will only get skinny plants that wont survive.

    For those if you that tried xmpp some years ago, try it now with conversations for android or swift 3 for desktop. And use a xmpp server with mam and carbons enabled. It makes all the difference. No more lost messages and proper syncing of chat history. I'm at xmpp:mikael@frykholm.com.

    @stigatle no, not with current eu law. Anonymity can't be guaranteed. I push for tor nodes instead. Exit nodes are allowed both on vpses and on residential connections.

    This is my mediasharingtingy alpha. Server.py shares a music directory by finding recordingid from musicbrainz tags. mb.py represent a musicplayer without participating in the DHT (like your phone or webbrowser).

    I'm making a media sharing thingy. A kademlia DHT for distributed key value lookup. The key is a musicbrainz recording uuid for music, isbn for epub and imdbid för movies. This will make it easier to find the same media with different encodings or metadata. I have a working proof of concept with download working right now.
