I have an old server stored at #sonTwo’s house. He’s about to activate it so he can practice server & network administration. He hasn’t shown a lot of interest in #SysAdmin since he switched to Photography late in high school, so of course I was happy to give him control over it.

This is interesting. I told #sonOne that I was considering a position with #sonTwo’s employer at almost a 50% pay cut. He replies with an opening at his employer for only a 25% cut.
They are 2.5 to 3 hours apart, and I want to see #GS3 nearly every day, so we’ll have to see.

The only Kanye West album I ever bought was "College Dropout". I bought it for #sonTwo and later bought my own copy.

I refrained from telling him about his "no homework" stage (he was a little older by that time; I think 8th or 9th grade) or his brother, #sonTwo, who did his homework but did not turn it in.
"You did the same thing" is not helpful when he's trying to get his daughter back on track.

#sonTwo talked to his future father-in-law yesterday about the impending marriage. Actually proposing was pushed back until late next month. (They've already set the wedding date and reserved the building, so I think there's a very good chance she'll accept.)

@chimo Don't overdo it. Now that I finally have two days off each week, I'm still to worn out to be productive. ( #sonTwo says "Dad, you're just old. It takes you longer to recover." He must think he's the favorite or something. )

@nds That's why #sonTwo and I talk so often today. We started the daily phone call because I was gone so often that I had effectively moved out. (But your kids are too young; I wouldn't suggest it.)

@jim Whenever someone asks me "why" using only that word, I'm tempted to reply "MCA." (Taken together, it forms "YMCA" ... the Village People #song from the late #1970s or early #1980s). #sonOne never understood it, while #sonTwo started avoiding the situation.

@perloid @nybill We used to take #sonTwo to local malls and churches. Teens also like to play pranks on Hallowe'en, so keeping younger kids away from them prevents some accidents.
