Is there an #Android language learning app on #F-droid that people would recommend?
Likewise for #iOS ... I tried DuoLingo, but the gamification and resulting frequent notifications felt like harassment (not to mention my not being interested in creating the membership that it often pushed for). I deleted it.

The #Shoyu client ( #iOS ) continues to worsen as more Apple updates come through and it does not receive updates. It was already bad before (but has no competition in the Apple App Store).

It is mostly okay using the #Android tablet on my hotspot (no #VPN) when I’m out of high speed data. Everything works, just slowly. The #iOS tablet is on the supposedly faster #hotel_Wi-Fi (with VPN) and some things work intermittently, if at all. Before you ask, yes, I did try putting the iPad on the hotspot without the VPN. No improvement.

Heard about sloppy reporting in Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter saying that the latest #iOS updates remove the risk for getting the calls tapped... Well, maybe it removes one easy possibility of tapping it, but the imprecise description might get #iPhone people to think they are now safe. Come on... #security #privacy

Die !gnusocial App-Situation für #iOS ist ja auch eher traurig. Mayo (last update May2014) oder Neustatus (last update Apr2013).

@voylinux I think anything which makes it easier for people to make customized clients is extremely important. Skeleton examples or libraries/tools.
(and even if I hate to say it: an #iOS app would be beneficial)

@samueljohn many former #iOS users have quit that platform for !Android / !replicant / !cyanogenmod. There are also some #Jolla users here
