Finally conceded defeat and installed a mail client on my laptop. Gad, I love #Cyrus #IMAP. A swine to configure on the server (tho' much better than it used to be, on #Debian at least), but it does do a sterling job of synchronising your spam across multiple devices.

You don't actually *want* !gnus to touch your #Maildir directly—you want it to go through a lightweight local #IMAP server. Really.

@cyberkiller I think that also mailoo.org (e.g.) working #IMAP for free, and runs on !freesoftware :-9

@kopolee11 and in the long run it would be even better to drop POP3, #IMAP and SMTP and switch e-mail to !XMPP :-)
