All of our Western measures of time are based on earth’s orbit and rotation. I imagine that will eventually have to change as we colonize other planets and then sent exploration crews to other star systems, seeking to expand beyond the solar system. -

I need to write a blog post laying out where I see !fnetworks heading over the next year or two.
Adding a #Mattermost messaging system was near the top of the list, but https://docs.mattermost.com/install/requirements.html#server-software convinces me that their documentation will be useless if or when I encounter any issue. -

Tried some yeast + sourdough bacteria in today's #home_made_bread. The package said to "just" use in place of regular yeast, and it would become sourdough. I did not expect much, and today's batch "met expectations".
I'm also thinking of starting to use an oven instead of the #breadmaker, because I feel like the bread machine is getting too hot. I'd rather it got a little less hot and cook a little longer. #bread -

300E for six months of water sounds like a really good price. I'm not sure what the exchange rate is, but my family probably pays $300 for two or three months of water. -

Thinking about the link @geniusmusing posted about prisoner firefighters now being eligible for post-release employment ... #CA also has or had a program called the California Conservation Corps, which trained young twenty-somethings for wildland firefighting. I don't know what the hiring process is like, but I imagine mom and dad will wuickly tell them to go work at McDonald's… -
