@rozzin @mcscx I don't think so. I think it's just because this is a GNU project, and people who care about software freedom are in general more thoughtful.
-
Sorry, @mmn; I've got a lot of catching-up to do. But, at this rate, I should be done building my `Best of @mmn' fav-list by next week. ☺
-
Damnit @rozzin@status.hackersposse.com you're flooding my timeline with 8 month old posts :D
-
(I also spent much of the last 10 months *crunching* at my #dayjob. #startups! #adventure!)
-
@mcscx, I spent much of the 10 months thinking about this response, for example☺
-
@mcscx, !gnusocial seems to have an unusually high ratio of considered, thoughtful discourse from people who actually think about what they're about to say.
-
@mcscx, I actually wonder if the blatant `no takebacks' nature of !gnusocial might actually be part of what makes it such a nice place....
-
#BTW, hi everybody--I'm back after a long quasi-sabbatical from online socialisation. ☺
-
@mcscx, it's pretty common for me to delete notices locally, without having any desire to _cancel_ them, to decruft my profile timeline when they don't have much lasting value there.
-
@mcscx, I agree that being able to send cancellations might be useful. I think of cancellation as a separate feature from deletion, though.
-
@rozzin I know. Remote-cancelling dents (like in usenet) might still be a desirable feature. Or we could remove the Delete icon altogether
