@mmn, I can't figure out how to get a quote from Swedish post; when I ask UPS, they say it's more than the price of the Hövding to ship it to the US. So obviously I don't want to ship internationally via UPS ☺
Made !gnusocial and #Hubzilla T-shirts, so during the summer I can shamelessly advertise some of the projects on #Freedombone. The Hubzilla one is all blue with the white logo and name. Gnusocial is black with the big red logo.
Wondering whether to make some !gnusocial merchandise. FOSS projects are rarely advertised, and "wearing the T-shirt" or badge can sometimes be a talking point which makes people aware that these things exist.
@lnxw48, grrr—wish I'd captured this on web.archive.org: they appear to have *significantly* edited the story in place and completely replaced the video at this point.
I'm also pretty perturbed that the camera operator *zoomed out* when it became clear that something notable was happening on-camera--and that the overall #news response was to do their best to ignore it. I think of these guys as having their job be "to make witness", and they really botched that. #BadWitness
I'm having a serious #NIMBY response to this. I'm right next to the border between Hudson (where this took place) and Nashua. That Nashua Police building is literally down the street from me.
"Simone exited his pickup, appeared to be kneeling on the ground when officers ran up and a physical confrontation began. Video from Sky5 showed a struggle between the police and Simone which lasted for at least 15 seconds." Appears that police #thugs beat a non-resisting perpetrator, despite news chopper videotaping overhead. Probably won't be any repercussions, either.
