The sun finally starts rising early enough to make it easy to get out of bed in the #morning, and they go and redefine #time so "morning" starts even earlier and has no #sunlight again.... #FUCKYOU #DST -

Dunno what I was dreaming about, or whether I was dreaming, or whether this counts as a #dream....
As I woke this morning, a phrase was `ringing' in my mind: "C. LATRANS".
Spent the rest of the journey to alertness trying to remember what a "c. latrans" was--"is that... a bacterium like `c. botulinum'? No.... What does it mean?"
Of course "canis latrans" is another #name for the #coyote.
What a strange experience.... -

As this guy says, "This new Iron Giant toy came out of nowhere in early 2020.… It's such a surprise, not just because of its sudden appearance, but the fact that it's only $20 at retail.": https://collectiondx.com/toy_review/iron_giant_Goldlok #irongiant #toy -

In other news, #REBOL still exists. I remember learning about it back in... 1998? The surprising thing is that it apparently survived all the way from 1997 to the end of 2012 without being #opensource. The whole idea of writing software in someone else's proprietary #language just sounds so... incredibly #offputting. -

            Huh—apparently the #REBOL #programming #language went #opensource a few years ago: http://www.rebol.com/cgi-bin/blog.r?view=0519 -

@nymnotinservice Who would think that blocking dangerous websites could be dangerous! I just hope it wasn't their revenge! ???? -

It's kind of nice to have had a problem that was actually quick *and* easy to fix. I feel like I mostly graduated from the "quick and easy" space maybe a decade ago....
Though, having just had a #birthday, I guess I have to wonder how much of that is actually "the world getting more confusing" vs. "me slowing down".... -

Kind of a big relief—I was afraid I might have another failing RAM module on this machine (since "crashing #web-browsers was the main symptom of that last time) plus some other separate mystery I was going to need to debug WRT the filesystem-balloon.... -

Ever since my #upgrade to #Debian 10 / #buster, I've had problems with #Epiphany crashing and my home filesystem getting intermittently (and seemingly randomly) low on space. I think I just solved both problems by disabling the #Google Safe Browsing feature, "Try to block dangerous websites":
