   @discussthang I'm not sure I would assume that I would have to enter every single XMPP user's credentials into a plaintext config.php file on the server to be able to get messages via XMPP........

     Got XMPP running now. the doc should be updated to reflect that you need two differend jits one for your client, i.e. YOU and a different one for GNUSocial. trying to connect with one and the same JID will have you puzzeld for a while though :-) @mmn !gnusocial !fediverse

     @discussthang Why would you think you can use the same JID for the site and your account? The site is not you. Most clients don't like the idea of sending messages to themselves...
