So I fixed the systemd/alsa configuration issue. The default service files in alsa-utils are COMPLETELY FUCKING BROKEN ON EVERY DISTRO.

systemctl add-requires alsa-restore.service
rm /usr/lib/systemd/system/basic.target.wants/alsa-store.service
