   My #Xubuntu 20.10 laptop screen is always going dim despite being told not to by the #XFCE power manager. Has anyone else seen this?

     @dawsports I saw something like that with #Kubuntu 18.04. I don't remember how I got it to happen less often, but it didn't end until I installed 20.04 from scratch.

     hmm, well, I did recently break the CD-Rs out. I suppose I could burn one for 20.10. Thanks for the tip.
