Cautionary tale: If we promote legalization of cannabis solely by pointing to tax revenue, someone could point to California's disappointing results as a counter-argument.

(I do think that #CA is a special case. We have an insane regulatory environment, and pot is not exempt from those regs. That's likely a big part of it.)
