   I looked at training resources in #CalJobs (since I'm required to use it). Sacred bovine! I've never seen such steer manure in my life. The whole list is variants of "Facebook marketing", "Google Ad Analytics". Now, I understand that these classes are all offerings by 3rd parties, not the state, but I know there are better and more realistic courses available.

     Oh, never mind. I see now. "Free Online Training" versus "Relevant Training Courses In Your Area". My area apparently goes from Los Angeles to Cathedral City to Riverside to Bakersfield. As much as I might want to learn about Cisco VOIP (and I would like to know a lot more about it, since $EMPLOYER actually uses VOIP), I'm not commuting two hours each direction (not counting traffic congestion) to take the classes.
