   @geniusmusing @amic I'd guess that it depends on what you're doing and which certification you get. But I don't really know. I do know that #sonOne wound up working as a Network Engineer during or shortly after he picked up 5 certs, but he'd been working in a little shop that installed central phone systems in small businesses and had also spent 6 years in the USNavy doing electronics and "stuff".

     @amic I'm pretty sure there are some places that just do cert prep and don't cost so much that you'd need a loan.

     ... He'd also worked for the Geek place for a couple of years and done other things. (And during the depths of the 2008-2011 recession, even worked at that big blue discount store.)
