     @imojito As I found out looking at a source code repository, #Twidere isn't "dead": it's being developed. It just wasn't released for some months, maybe due to migration to #Kotlin ?!

     @why Regarding saving images: this can be done using image viewer that has this feature.
     Another option: switch in Settings #AndStatus Storage to External storage - and all downloaded images become browsable by any viewer: they are stored as separate files in the "downloads" subfolder.

     @agosto182 Currently #AndStatus is Java only application. It actively uses Java 8 features, including Lambdas and Streaming API.
