     @csaurus @sulman That's why I find the scorn a lot of developers have for designers.  Don't get me wrong, I've met a lot of IT-school diploma mill designers whom are frankly quite foolish, but a *good* designer is worth their weight in gold, because you just cannot underestimate how important getting interface right is to adoption of the software.  Hell, I remember…

     @csaurus @sulman That was why GNOME was originally made, because of qt's shitty proprietary license.  Then GNOME came around and was all "were going to be a pure free software desktop", everyone shat their pants, and we still haven't lived down all the "year of the Linux desktop" quips.

     @pikurasa @csaurus This is the underlying thought to why I want to implement smarty templating in postActiv - if it's easy to change the UI as desired, then people can make all manner of different interfaces for it.
