     I read about decimal time back in 1970. The time of Earth's rotation is divided in to 1000 chrons, and a full Earth rotation is a kilochron. Even made a clockface with 5 major divisions marking each 100 chron interval for the short hand, and 8 minor divisions marking approximately 5 chron intervals for the long hand.
