   I recently upgraded my #xubuntu to 19.10, and now the UI locks up. I can still get to another shell with CTRL+ALT+F1, and the machine isn't under load. Has anybody else seen this? Any suggestions? #ubuntu #linux

    Any thoughts on why a fifo would be getting changed to a non-fifo on the fly. umask or something? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

    mysql max_connections of 818 in my.cnf works. Making that 1000 turns that to 214. what the hell?

    So, here’s the thing. It takes me about two hours to bike to work and change in the winter. Less so in the summer, and even less in the spring and fall, but that is time I could put back into the #FLOSS community.
