Douglas A. Whitfield (musicman)'s status on Thursday, 21-Jan-2021 10:59:32 EST Douglas A. Whitfield Does anybody use #WSO2 API Manager AND Identity Server? Do you run them in separate VMs? Do you just move some directories from IS to the AM server (or visa versa)? Running two carbon servers on the same box leads to port conflicts and it seems to be for an integrated solution, you should just be able to run a single #carbon server. -

Also, it seems to very pretty wildly (72% to 22%), so I am not sure what to make of it. -
Douglas A. Whitfield (musicman)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Jan-2021 16:13:17 EST Douglas A. Whitfield it's not impossible that I would get asked to learn it for work. Postgres is a big project for us. However, I suspect a lot of orgs that would be interested in PeerTube would not be able/willing to afford us. There's Reddit, but past that, idk. It's hard to know when I might have time outside of work to look into it. Once the CC CMA stuff is done wrapping up the 2020 cycle, I w… -

Douglas A. Whitfield (musicman)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Jan-2021 14:53:37 EST Douglas A. Whitfield In my view, web market percentages are incomparable to brick and mortal market percentages. I suspect that point at which we diverge on this. I'll just leave it at that, because I don't think the case law has addressed this yet.
If Facebook wants to stay out of anti-trust issues, tying an account to the Occulus 2 was certainly not a good move... -

Douglas A. Whitfield (musicman)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Jan-2021 11:16:45 EST Douglas A. Whitfield can't take anyone seriously that thinks this: "Banning the president of the United States was shocking." With regards to your commentary, I am not sure I agree with the idea that Facebook blocking people is a threat to us at all. I understand the sentiment, but for us specifically, in the fediverse, it is one of the best things that could happen, at least in the short term. The… -

Douglas A. Whitfield (musicman)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Jan-2021 10:55:20 EST Douglas A. Whitfield We are the coldest major US city though, and I am pretty sure we are quite a bit colder than Milwaukee in the winter based on my time in Madison, but that doesn't show up here: https://www.currentresults.com/Weather/US/average-annual-temperatures-large-cities.php
My guess is that Lake Michigan keeps Milwaukee more temperate, so...we are also slightly hotter in the summer. We are far enough from Superior that we don't see weather changed by it very much. -

HOWEVER, unclear if there is actually an issue...like, is it too slow, dropping messages...idk. They were hitting a very clear RAM issue, but that has since been resolved. -
