    @coolboymew So far, coronavirus 2019-nCoV seems to be much less fatal than its near relative SARS. If you remember, about 8,000 people were known to have contracted SARS, and nearly 10% died. The thing with SARS was its very high death rate, even though it was really a very small number of people who were infected.

    @sim There are other maintainers as well, so the project could conceivably continue even if lain/lambdalabada decided to quit. And that's important, because no one should feel obligated to continue such a project beyond the point where they have any interest or desire to do so.
