@hikerus Are you using 'https://social.bitcast.info/' as the API url by any chance? It should be 'https://social.bitcast.info/api/' also, check the 'no version suffix' box -

@gilles I do! :) Thanks for letting me know, I'll have a look this weekend.
Regarding browser notifications, you need "Realtime" enabled for them to work. Typically this is done via the Meteor GS plugin ( https://git.gnu.io/gnu/gnu-social/tree/nightly/plugins/Meteor ), but there are a couple of other options out there too.
I'll add that information in the README (I thought it was already in there… oops!) -
