that's true. I think it's a myth that there wasn't any federation on status.net. I had accounts on several different sites. -

the point of my first statement is that for free software solutions to work, they need to work for people unwilling/unable to federate. I think the idea that pump.io is going to be bad is a load of bullocks though. Maybe I'll be wrong. -
