   I thought the kickstarter idea was a good plan b, but it looks like that's going to take longer than a month too. It probably just make sense to drop it together and focus on getting a corporate job.

   unfortunately, I don't have a year. I have a month left of the summer. The idea was that if we had gotten far enough over the summer I would work on it more later...but right now I don't see the interest.

   I've successfully run organizations in the past by myself and it can work...but as soon as I leave, they die. It's not worth it. -- Since I have no more leads after two months of doing the Lawcast, that's why I feel like it's going nowhere.

   I also know from experience with Carolina Open Source Initiative, Carolina Hard Rock Club and even to an extent Madison Linux User Group that if I don't get buy-in at the top levels no amount of me doing work is sustainable.

   there is nothing to join. I feel like telling people why they should join is a better idea for after there is something to join. I know from experience that "build it and they will come" doesn't work.

   I think I feel like I need to get all of the "insiders" on the same page first. That's what I've been struggling with with @mv. I didn't have another netcaster in mind just yet.

    is that a question for you specifically, but I'm not sure it's right for you, as we discussed yesterday. That question, answered generally, is simply all the benefits of being a 501(c)(3). I guess not everyone knows what those are though. I'll write something up today

    the whole point of filing for Music Manumit instead of NEF is that NEF was going nowhere. I don't know that any of this discussion about it has changed that.
