    I have everything solved except I think my mic needs some sort of jack module. It's just using the onboard mic, which is garbage.

    Ok, I've worked out connecting to the icecast server, but it seems like JACK is not picking up my microphone. time to look into that, I guess.

    it's kinda funny. I can use jack as a pause button for my music. Jack on, no music. There's a joke in there somewhere.

    server is not a problem. I've got one of those. Remote connection is the problem. Actually, I can remote connect, but it just plays static. I suppose perhaps he knows something about ices2 though
