We get that kind of stuff at work on a reasonably regular basis. Unfortunately we usually send it to a recycler.

You will need to build a new wing onto the house for all your new Goodwill computers.

And by that I mean 'telnet localhost 25' from inside that server.

That's annoying. You could try to telnet to port 25 on the machine and send mail manually by issuing SMTP commands. That's always fun.

I look in /var/log/maillog . That's on Red Hat/CentOS/Oracle. I believe Postfix just logs the one place.

This one is a bit fiddly. Got it to connect to the Mac after 5 or 6 tries and a reboot. Haven't gotten it to work on Linux yet.

Manual says I need to connect it to a high powered USB port. I'm plugging into a hub. I'll crawl behind the computer later.

Yes. I found gmtp which is an MTP client. The option to connect the phone in MTP mode doesn't seem to work, though. I'll investigate further

I believe it's an MTP/PTP device. I helped a friend get her Samsung set up on a Mac, but haven't dealt with it on Linux yet.

The movie portrays a scary future where people are really stupid because corporations have taken over running everything. You'd like it.
