   Haven't used it in a long time, but I remember it working well. These days I can just run Linux in a VM for most things.

    Maybe the board also accepts later P4s that were 64 bit. Or maybe I'm completely wrong. 'cat /proc/cpuinfo' should tell you what it is.

    That would explain it. A 32 bit processor can't access more than 3 gigs with ANY kernel.

    That's one of the problems with Debian - they're short on developers because you have to jump through a lot of hoops to be one.
