@gargron #Salmon slaps aren't sent to all followers, only mentioned recipients. Update-profile just like everything else should be sent as #PuSH don't you think? (but yeah it's not implemented in a working condition or at all in !GNUsocial)

@gargron Yeah, that makes sense. That may be why #StatusNet & #GNU_Social have a built-in #PuSH server.

@gargron I closed my tab to the #PuSH spec a few days ago. There may be an independent implementation or three out there.

@mcscx @maiyannah It's there now isn't it? The !umehack instance is pretty slow in distributing via #PuSH (directed salmons usually go faster). So that explains you didn't see the response at first on quitter.se
