Just prepared the PDF for printing shape cutted !gnusocial stickers. We'll see how they come out, delivery is estimated for next week.

@berry Hopefully any major releases should be announced in !gnusocial and !qvitter. You can also check on the git repositories and the issue trackers for both projects.
-
whats the best way to stay up to date with !gnusocial and !qvitter major updates?
-
is there a way to search for groups or even users across the !gnusocial federation

@taknamay Hand made !gnusocial sticker would be awesome!

I wrote my first #WordPress plug-in. It was easier as I thought. Also because I just had to wrap the !gnusocial widget by @chimo to integrate it into my blog. You can find the plug-in here: http://src.schiessle.org/BeS/wp-share-on-gnusocial

@chalkahlom I have set aside my childish StatusNet ways, I am now a !GNUsocial adult.

When enabling queuedaemon in !gnusocial, does OpportunisticQM have to remain enabled as well, or could/should it be disabled somehow?
-
One reason it was problematic is that urls were stored in the DB. I assume this is still the case.

Thanks to @mmn for helping me get my !GNUsocial instance upgraded properly.
Please can I get some confirmations that people have seen this message? :-)

I seem remember being told that changing !GNUsocial from ‘Never SSL’ or ‘Sometimes SSL’ to ‘Always SSL’ was problematic at best. Is that still the case?

@hannes2peer We have big good news :) Today we released an alpha version of the plugin #Sharings http://status.hackerposse.com/url/10173 We are already sharing objects and services using !gnusocial as platform :) The catalogue is growing :) http://status.hackerposse.com/url/10174 Now we want to improve integration with !qvitter The problem we have now is that, as happens with…
-
It appears @takeshitakenji migrated to a !selfhost'ed !GNUsocial just in time, #quitter.se is unavailable! ;)
-
@mmn Well, as I’m not currently on git, I’ll be creating a new folder for !GNUSocial and upgrading into it. So I’m going to go straight from 1.1.0 and blame you if it goes wrong… that’s ok, I presume? :-)
-
@archaeme Why not ask !gnusocial?
-
@takeshitakenji He wants to upgrade to #GNUsocial but we (officially) only support upgrades from 1.1.1, and he runs 1.1.0 :) So I suggested @thelovebug git pull https://git.gnu.io/gnu/gnu-social.git -> travel back in time (with 'reset' or whatever) to when 1.1.1 was released -> upgrades -> returns to the present -> upgrades according to readme.

Do I have to enable a plugin to have local notice URLs transformed into embedded notices? !gnusocial
