So I've made a quick hack to post from tt-rss to !gnusocial on #Freedombone. It only works from the desktop interface, not from the mobile one currently.

Removing Google references from !gnusocial. This shows just how pervasive Google actually is. There are obsolete references to code.google.com, and the even more obsolete Google Buzz (one or the original internet privacy scandals). There is also some proprietary Google Maps stuff.

Question: how do I vote on a poll at a remote !gnusocial instance?

On my !gnusocial instance, it looks like there is some javascript from Google being loaded (jsapi?callback=_google_loader_apiLoaded). Is there any way to disable this or any reason why it's being loaded?

@vriska One nice part about having my own !gnusocial instance is how I can change the behavior. I'm going to be adding some features I've been wanting for a while.

Why /must/ I enable JS to access a !gnusocial instance? Can't it degrade gracefully?

Sealion.club doesn't seem to be affected since it uses 1.2.0-beta4 instead of master. !gnusocial

I’ve seen hints and suggestions somewhere that there is a #Markdown plugin for !GNUsocial. I’m using #Textile at the moment, but I’d *far* rather use Markdown. Any pointers, please?

An interesting fact about !libreplanet is that actually more people are tweeting about it than posting on !gnusocial - including @FSF staff (and please fix your instance, it's not possible to subscribe to your fedgroups)
