@aw I'm not sure what you were trying to get across here. Can you or can you not access? Either way, !GNUsocial is meant to be 100% usable without javascript.
@deadsuperhero Well, the info's gonna be there whether you like it or not. The data's there and profiles in a standards compatible !fediverse preferrably have a #FOAF transcription which means graphing of who knows who is available openly.
I do encourage keeping follower count low-key though (like calling them 'subscribers' as in !GNUsocial).
@pan Well, you're reasonably private if you use Tor and only want to protect your original identity. So you have a perfect privacy setup for leaking sensitive information in a broadcast fashion to subscribers since (afaik) all !ostatus federating instances allow Tor connections. But no, neither !GNUsocial nor #Mastodon have any real privacy for hiding content. There's…
I guess for those who are curious they will try to know more about how Mastadon came into being and then find out about !GNUSocial and then eventually -- GNU itself. !fs
@frankiesaxx Any minute now you'll start OStatus subscribing to communists and anarchists and even extremists like !GNUsocial or even !qvitter developers.
@mattl Thanks for your reply, it really means a lot for some of us here. With Mastodon becoming a mainstream sensation overnight we've been starting to feel anxious about the future of !gnusocial and the !fediverse as a whole. Many reports didn't even bother mentioning GNU, StatusNet, OStatus etc. which got us worried that people won't get a full picture of how things work.
Il doit y avoir des zones à défendre dans les zones à défendre dans les zones à défendre dans les zones à défendre. Heureusement qu'il y a aussi des en-dehors et des ailleurs. I <3 !gnusocial
