Since the #Gitorious code is being discontinued (afaik), and I haven't seen a community uptake on it, it would mean using code that is unlikely to get updates. I doubt any of us involved on our spare time with #GNUsocial have the capacity to overtake responsibility for the source code. Alternatives we have been looking at however are http://status.hackerposse.com/url/…

!gnusocial - remind me that rediscovery of feed URLs should be done when failing on stuff like subscriptions... Or admins have to run 'plugins/OStatus/scripts/update-profile.php' manually - which is a hassle ;)

Hmm, is it because your hackerposse.com/.well-known/host-meta points the LRDD to status.hackerposse.com/.well-known/webfinger?resource={uri} and thus ends the "acct:rozzin@hackerposse.com" to your #GNUsocial instance which doesn't know of that (without "status.") - and it should really point to its own domain?
(or one could allow a more liberal lookup, to include pre-configured domain name aliases or something)
-
Also, @mmn, I think at some point you broke #gnusocial's support for my #webfinger redirector that mapped from acct:rozzin@hackerposse.com to http://status.hackerposse.com/rozzin :p

Dear !gnusocial: Is there a way to get the SubMirror plugin to work? It only shows a broken interface in the account settings menu. :(
-
@jezra maybe you want to write a super simple app for @hannes2peer's image hosting platform http://qttr.at/muw, based on !GNUsocial :)

When a recipient group is selected via the dropdown menu, it doesn't appear in the recipients list (addressees) next to the sender name. Here is a quick fix: http://s.vinilox.eu/d09 It looks like !gnusocial is treating …

!gnusocial repo's unreachable via git://gitorious.org/social/mainline, but you can still "git" it from https://gitorious.org/social/mainline
-
@andstatus That data is discarded on the receiving end, so it would be a pretty simple fix in !gnusocial if you'd like to trust the remote end's client data :)

Again a bit work is done: My expanded #rss2queet now supports message prefixes where you can write a group reference in, such as !gnusocial and so on.

Thanks to @goebelmasse for the initial code. :-)

@jezra There are a few others I've seen having trouble reaching the !gnusocial #gitorious repo.

I have pushed for !gnusocial a commit for allowing invitation mails being sent in a different language than the current user's preferences bears. This allows for example an English speaker to invite a German speak…

@roland I'm not sure anyone actually monitors @fsf for incoming messages. Might be better to e-mail them about upgrading.
-
@fsf I hope you will update soon to !gnusocial ? #StatusNet is really far out-dated and unmaintained.
